Ordering from Your Website
Our CMS operates like most shopping carts: A visitor who wishes to order must have an account that includes his billing name/address and shipping name/address.As the user browses, he has the opportunity to identify the items he wants. When he's ready to place the order, he can alter the shipping address, along with noting the starting and ending dates of the rental, even the shipping and pickup dates if different.
The CMS will produce an approximate price based on the duration of the rental and the number of items and then give the customer the opportunity to place the order.
Once placed, RentControl has a small program that queries your website at regular intervals looking for new orders. When one is found, RentControl turns the order into a reservation and notifies you. At that point, you examine the order, add additional charges as called for, or contact the customer for clarification if any is needed.
Please take the opportunity to try this sample site. It illustrates some of the display variety that is available for categorizing your inventory. For example, "Air Compressors" is subdivided into four subcategories. "Tables" is a supercategory with three categories, one of which, "Banquet" is a subcategory divided into "Round" and "Rectangular." The other categories are not subdivided, so that clicking one simply displays all the types connected with the category.
And remember, this is just a sample. Your site can look different and have different pages (menu items), but the one thing that will be the same is the ease with which you can update the site and the ease with which you will be able to keep all of it, even your inventory offerings, current.
